Chiang Mai, North Thailand

Nice, busy and crowdy city with lot of tempels, spirituality, culture, international, good food, night markets, universities and strawberries.
I stayed in total one week in this city, visited many temples, went to couple of Buddhist ceremonies, met many nice local and international people.
Additionally I stayed also four days in a temple in the mountains close to Chiang Mai for meditation retreats and lived as e monk- waking up at 5 a.m., with only two meals per day (latest meal at 11 a.m.), speaking was forbidden, only singing and meditation (walking, sitting, lying) was allowed- i enjoyed it a lot, it was great first experience with Theravara Buddhism.
