Singapore

Hello from Singapore,

I arrived in Singapore and staying for couple of days here. I am very excited how interesting dynamical and intercultural one city-state can be. You will find everything in Singapore- most advanced city in Asia with very good infrastructure and high standard, very clean and safe, with four official languages and differen cultures (chines (budist), malay (mouslems), indian (hindu), christ and many other religions), who live together in peace.
The city has very good metro (MRT) connection, huge skylines with bussines offices or private flats at the downtown, which remembers New York, huge green parks and areas like small jungle park with monkeys and big spiders, huge shop malls and food cords with different delicious food, exotical fruits and drinks- crazy mixture between well known Europe and one unknown exotical world.

Here you will find many attraktions and things to do in the free time, e.g.green parks, bars, cafes and lot of restaurants, light shows and concerts at open air theater on the river, santosa island and nice beaches.

The first day on arrival I spend with adapting after the long flight to the new place conditions like the time difference to Germany of +7hours, temperature difference of ~40C, humidity 80-90%.
I still can feel the jetlack, however i adpated very fast to the nice warm temperature and humidity.
Afterwards I visited the botanical garden, many different parks, i had very nice night walks at the downtown with light shows at the river. The highlight was an open air concert with chinese classical music, this was very beatuful and new for me- I never heart clasic music with Asian sounds before.
The food and drinks are delicious and various- one can find different specialities from hole Asia area and Europe.
To travel as a bagpacker is an intensive time, meeting many new interesting people, new places, new conditions and experiences in short time. This is hapening now with me as well- I am meeting every day many different local and international people, we speak and discuss lot about the local and different countries life, about philosophies and politics. Everyone has a different and somehow similar story and reason to travel- to break the loop of daily mechanical life and experience the world outside of his safe and comfortable place.

I love Singapur, I can recomend to visit it.
Next destination is beatuful south Thailand and island hoping around Krabi. Try to write soon again, stay tuned!
